This past weekend we had the pleasure of celebrating our sweet little friend Sydney's 5th birthday at the bay in beautiful San Diego. I made these fun little cupcakes and toppers to celebrate. I'll be adding lots of cupcake toppers to my little shop soon... they are so cute, simple, inexpensive, and a great way to add detail to your next party!
Hi Kara! It's just powdered sugar, shortening, water and vanilla. I TOTALLY prefer using unsalted butter and milk instead of shortening and water, but I knew they would be outside for awhile so I did dairy free. I just got a new frosting tip- it's the big 1A tip and I LOVE it. And the sprinkles are the cheap ones from Super Wal-Mart... $3 for a BIG container :)
I loved it! Sydney loved it more!! Thank you again for taking the time to make them and meet us :) I totally could've used your cupcake shot for her bday card :)
I'm a busy stay at home mom with two of the sweetest little guys in the world, with our third boy in the oven! I love paper, ribbon and parties!
I have always been in love with the little details that make any occasion memorable. Ever since I had my own kids, planning their birthday parties has become a passion of mine. I started this blog to share some of my own parties with you, as well as inspiration I find from other party blogs!
Cute cute. What kind of frosting is that?
